Commercial Bank wins ‘HR Initiative of the Year’ award

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, is proud to announce it has won the prestigious ‘HR Initiative of the Year’ award for this year. The gala dinner and ceremony honouring the top in regional human resource management achievements was held earlier this month at the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre. Commercial Bank won the award for ‘CbConnect’ – the Bank’s proprietary HR transformation program, which is now also a case study at Microsoft for delivering service excellence enabled by technology.
The awards were presented by HE Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al-Qatami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority of Human Resources in the UAE. Mr Mohammad Yousuf Al Mannai, Commercial Bank’s Head of Resourcing, attended the ceremony and received the award on behalf of the Bank.
The ‘HR initiative of the Year’ award recognises organisations that have completed a successful people-focused change programme and HR strategy. Other areas assessed for award eligibility included making the business case for change, communication, implementation and measurement. Commercial Bank was nominated for this category along with 2 other organisations from the region.
