1. What are Himyan Cards? +
Himyan Cards include the debit and prepaid cards issued by us to retail customers.
2. What benefits do I get by linking my Himyan Card to Qatar Airways Privilege Club? +
By linking your Himyan Debit or Prepaid Card to Qatar Airways Privilege Club, you earn Avios points on eligible local purchases and gain access to exclusive “Card-Linked Offers” for extra rewards.
3. How do I enroll in Qatar Airways Privilege Club with my Himyan Card? +
• You must be a Qatar Airways Privilege Club member to apply for a Himyan Card.
• If you’re not a member yet, we will automatically enroll you, and you’ll receive an invitation email from Qatar Airways to complete your registration and accept their Terms & Conditions.
4. Which Himyan Cards can be linked to Qatar Airways Privilege Club? +
Both Himyan Debit Cards and Himyan Prepaid Cards can be linked.
5. How many Avios points do I earn with my Himyan Card? +
You earn 1 Avios for every QAR 8 spent on eligible local purchases, including merchant outlets and e-commerce. Additional Avios can be earned through “Card-Linked Offers.”
6. What are “Card-Linked Offers”? +
These are exclusive promotions that allow you to earn extra Avios when you spend at participating merchants partnered with Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
7. Is linking to “Card-Linked Offers” automatic? +
Yes, when you apply for a Himyan Card, it is automatically linked to “Card-Linked Offers.”
8. Are there spending limits for earning Avios? +
• The minimum spend per transaction is QAR 8.
• At present, there is no maximum cap on Avios earnings.
• Some merchants may have specific minimum spends under “Card-Linked Offers.”
9. What transactions do not earn Avios? +
Avios are not earned on:
• Cash withdrawals.
• Balance transfers.
• Fees or interest charges.
• Any transaction deemed ineligible by Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
10. When will I receive my Avios points? +
Your Avios Points will be credited only after your Himyan Card is successfully enrolled in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
For purchases at local merchants, including e-commerce transactions, Avios points are credited within 5 business days from the transaction date.
11. What should I do if my Avios points aren’t credited? +
• If your Avios Points are not credited for Himyan Debit or Himyan Prepaid Card transactions made at local merchants (including e-commerce purchases), please contact our Contact Center at +974 4449 0000 for assistance.
• For issues related to Card-Linked Offers, please contact Qatar Airways directly.
12. Can I use my Himyan Card outside Qatar? +
No, Himyan Cards can only be used within Qatar. Transactions outside Qatar generally do not earn Avios unless notified otherwise.
13. Can I have multiple Himyan Cards? +
Yes, you can hold one Himyan Debit Card and one Himyan Prepaid Card.
14. Who earns the Avios if a family member uses my Himyan Card? +
The primary Qatar Airways Privilege Club member linked to the card earns the Avios, as per the family program rules.

Customer Enrollment FAQs

1. If I get a replacement or reissued Himyan Card with the same details, will my old card be canceled and my new card re-enrolled, or will you just update the new card info? +
We will cancel your old card and enroll your new card details in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club program.
2. What happens if I have Himyan Cards from multiple banks? How does enrollment and rewards linking work? +
Each bank enrolls your Himyan Cards separately. If your personal details are the same across banks, you’ll have one unified rewards membership number.
3. When will I be enrolled in the rewards program? Is enrollment immediate after card issuance? +
Enrollment to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club is not immediate. After your card is issued, the enrollment process is completed within 48 hours.
4. Do you check if I’m already enrolled before enrolling or updating my details? +
Yes, we check if you are already a member before enrolling or updating your membership details.
5. If I already have a rewards membership number, how do you ensure it matches your system? What if I have multiple membership numbers? +
If your details match, you will keep the same membership number. If multiple numbers exist, you need to contact Qatar Airways to merge them. We will inform you about this during card issuance.
6. When checking my enrollment status, do you need my email, phone number, and name only, or also my membership number? +
You only need to provide your email, phone number, and name. If matched, your membership number will be provided.
7. What if the membership number returned doesn’t match the one I already have? Should you update or re-enroll me? +
If details match, you’ll get the correct membership number. If not, you’ll be re-enrolled, and you’ll need to contact Qatar Airways to merge your membership numbers. We will be communicating with you the status of your enrollment to QPRC program via SMS or email.
8. What happens if I claim to be an existing member, but the system can’t find my account? +
You will be enrolled as a new member and advised on merging memberships if needed.
9. If you try to enroll me again when I’m already enrolled, will my details be overwritten? +
No, the system will return to an error indicating you already exist; your details will not be overwritten.
10. How will I know if my card is enrolled in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club? +
You can check your enrollment status by logging in to the CBQ Mobile App / Retail Internet Banking:
• For Himyan Debit Card – go to Services → Debit Card Services
• For Himyan Prepaid Card – go to Services → Prepaid Card Services
• Then select “Avios Dashboard” displayed next to your Himyan Card.
In the Avios Dashboard, the enrollment status will be shown as: • Active – When enrollment of your Himyan Card to Qatar Airways Privilege Club is successful.
• Failed – When enrollment of your Himyan Card to Qatar Airways Privilege Club is unsuccessful.
• Pending – When enrollment of your Himyan Card to Qatar Airways Privilege Club is under process.

Credit Currency / Avios Calculations & Posting FAQs

1. How are disputes or reconciliation issues regarding Avios calculations handled? +
You can view your Avios accrual via the CBQ Mobile App or Internet Banking. If you believe your Avios points are incorrect, we will verify your records and escalate issues to QCB. For Card-Linked Offers, contact Qatar Airways CLO support or the merchant directly.
2. What happens if a transaction is reversed, partially reversed, or refunded? Will my Avios be deducted? +
Qatar Airways cannot reverse Avios points once credited. Instead, we adjust your future Avios credits to account for any reversals or refunds.
3. Are Avios points only earned on Himyan financial transactions?+
Yes, Avios points are earned only on transactions made using your Himyan Card.
4. How will I know if my local purchase transactions made using Himyan Card are awarded with Avios Points?+
You can view your earned Avios Points by logging in to the CB Mobile App / Retail Internet Banking:
• For Himyan Debit Card – go to Services → Debit Card Services
• For Himyan Prepaid Card – go to Services → Prepaid Card Services
• Then select “Avios Dashboard” displayed next to your Himyan Card.
In the Avios Dashboard, you can view the details of your eligible transactions along with the Avios Points earned.
5. Will I be able to view the Avios points earned using my Himyan card usage in Card-Linked Offers through the CBQ Mobile App / Retail Internet Banking? +
No, you will not be able to view the Avios points earned for Card-Linked Offers using Himyan Debit Card via the CBQ Mobile App. Instead, you need to check your Qatar Airways Privilege Club Account .
